SEC 3 BOOT CAMP 2010

The details for boot camp are stated below.
Reporting time: 0700h
Reporting Attire: Full brigade Uniform
Things to bring: 1 1.5 filled Ice Montain water bottle, writing materials, 1 green army poncho, 1 black whistle and PT kit.
Remarks: Do have your breakfast before you come and bring enough cash for lunch.

Recent and Upcoming Events/Activities

The exams are long over and it's the start of the holidays. Let's look at some of the recent and upcoming events/activities in this June Holiday.
For the past weeks, the Heart2Heart Campaign - School Sales took place. Thanks to the school's promotion and support, we managed to sell a great number of kits! Also thanks to all who volunteered for the school booth and individual sales. Once again, the Heart2Heart Campaign will take place today as a Street Sale. Do your best to raise funds as the funds raised will go to our corp, as well as the St. John Headquarters respectively.
Last Wednesday, AISJAB provided Public Duty for the school's Annual Sports Carnival. Thanks to all who volunteered for the day and for your hard work. As for the other cadets who were unable to help, but participated in the inter-class races, I hope you had a great day and congrats to the winners.
6 Cadets: CPL Brian, PTE Zhen Yu, PTE Zi Yu, PTE Jeanette and PTE Danielle, have taken part for this year's National Day Parade 2010. Taking part in the special day comes with a price, as there are compulsory rehearsals every Saturday. Nevertheless, the NDP 2010 is a special and worthwhile experience, despite the weather, there has been ample rest/break time, lunch and snacks!
On a related note to NDP 2010, CPL Brian, PTE Jeanette and PTE Danielle took part as the Row A and B NDP 2010 Chior to sing the March In theme song. Recording took place at the Music and Drama Company at Nee Soon Camp together with cadets and staff from UGs, SCDF and Police Force. In addition, they were treated with a trip to the SAF Band Museum and given souvenirs.
This June Holidays has many camps and courses, especially to Sec 3 cadets.
Here is the list of camp/courses and their dates:
- Combined Corp Camp @AISS: 4-7 June (Trainees) 3-7 June (Trainers)
- ANCOC Theory Phase @SJAB HQ: 12 June
- Sec 3 Boot Camp (Day Camp) @AISS: 14 and 15 June
- ANCOC Camp Phase @HSS: 18-21 June
- ANCOC Assesment Phase @SJAB HQ; 26 June
School wil resume on the 28 June
Lastly, St John Day will be on 24 June, we will observe St John Ambulance Brigade Day on the first Wednesday after school reopens.

Heart2Heart Campaign - School sales

AISJAB will be launching the Heart2Heart Campaign (School Sales), a collaborative fundraising effort between the Singapore Heart Foundation and the St. John Ambulance Brigade, on the 22 and 23 April 2010.
The objective of the campaign is to raise the public's awareness on heart-related diseases, healthy living, and of course to highlight the importance of life-saving skills.
We'll be selling "Heart2Heart kits", each kit containing a keychain, as well as a Swensens voucher. Booths will be set up after school and even during recess at the gallery area. We have a total of 1400 kits to be sold, so everyone's help is needed. The sec 3s will be taking charge of the booths. Please do text me if you are able to come for the school sales, otherwise i will not be able to collect your share of the kits to be sold. Remember to state clearly the timings of your recess and what days you are able to make it, and the days you can't. As for the juniors, you can do your part, by doing a headstart on publicity. Help and show us your support by encouraging more of your friends to buy these kits from us.

The funds raised will go to our corp, as well as the St. John Headquarters respectively. Thus, your help will be greatly appreciated.
